LOST Season 5 Filming Update

**UPDATED** 8/22 12AM PST Ryan just provided us with an update with more details about the filming currently occurring. I have added a Google satellite image of where they are filming.

As I assumed, it seems to be a scene shortly after Sayid gets Hurley out of Santa because Ryan mentions Hurley being in a robe. However, it seems like some one is going to be taking a fall from a good height as Ryan has spotted the stunt setup.

NOTE: Original post is below and Ryan said he was heading back to the set so stay tuned for MORE updates soon!

They’ve commandeered a four-story apartment complex at 1818 Anapuni St. to film a scene with Naveen Andrews and Jorge Garcia.

It’s a night shoot, with Klieg lights on cranes illuminating the whole building. It was raining when shooting started, so they kept the parking lot wet with a hose. In one corner, dozens of empty cardboard boxes and several large athletic-style foam blocks. On the corner, an ambulance. Looks like a stunt fall is in the cards.

The scene so far? Hurley and Sayid drive into the apartment complex parking lot in a late-model blue SUV. (It and the other cars have California plates.) They exit, Sayid looking sharp in a black shirt and dark khaki pants, Hurley wearing a thick, long, grey bathrobe over a blue T-shirt. Hurley’s also holding a big burger and paper cup. They make their way stealthily up the stairs, and walk the length of the building, past several apartments.

Security is keeping an eye on me. I even voluntarily submitted to a bag search. These guys don’t mess around, but fortunately I’m also a known factor. They’ve yelled down several other people with cameras. People who, of course, I go out of my way to meet. Otherwise, I’m just standing under the lighting crane, watching Hurley and Sayid walk. Again and again and again…

Hey All,
The LOST crew is set to begin filming with in the hour in Hawaii and thanks to our man Ryan who is on location. He just informed us of his initial report on how the crew has setup base camp at a local church.

However, the filming will be up the street at a night shoot to feature a scene with Jorge Garcia (Hurley) and Naveen Andrews (Sayid).

Could this be the scene after Sayid gets Hurley out of Santa Rosa??

Well here is the current report with a little update, but hopefully soon we will get an update from Ryan. So keep checking back for an update.

Enjoy:

Just in time to kick off the weekend, the “LOST” production crew was spotted in Makiki… not two blocks from where my family and I used to live. They’re commandeering Dominis St., a narrow street that runs along the densely populated ridge. It looks like it will be a night shoot on a residential street, with specially staged cars waiting nearby. Curious neighbors are hoping to catch sight of some of the show’s stars, with Jorge Garcia and Naveen Andrews said to be expected.

I initially thought the shoot was taking place down the hill at Central Union Church, but that turned out to merely be “base camp” where trailers were parked and craft services cooked up dinner. My original report follows.

Original Report:

Churches appear in ‘LOST’ quite often. Not surprising, given the show’s underlying themes of faith and redemption. Today, the production set up shop on the beautiful lawn fronting Central Union Church in lower Manoa.

They’re setting up for a night shoot, and there will apparently be exterior scenes, as crewmembers seem to be inspecting and staging some cars that could appear on screen. No tell-tale signs or props just yet, but a friendly gentleman wiring up a trailer suggested that Jorge Garcia and Naveen Andrews were to be the beneficiaries of his handiwork. (Of course, he only knew them by their general physical descriptions.)

Central Union Church had a brief cameo in an earlier episode of ‘LOST,’ where Locke attended a support group meeting and met Helen in “Orientation” (Season 2, Episode 3)

More Details from Open Casting Call

**UPDATED** Just added a new picture and some more details below:

Hey All,
One of our readers in Hawaii happened to make it to the open casting call that was held over the weekend.

In addition to the Spanish speaking people, it seems like the casting people were actually looking for any one who knew a foreign language and it seems like the producers might be searching for several different Aarons!?

NOTE: In the first picture I tried to screencap the person that apparently the casting people were "VERY" interested in. It is not the one sleeping in the chair, but the bald guy in the background. Click the image to enlarge it.

Check it out!

As you can tell there was a very diverse showing of people. Anyways, if you look to the very right of the picture, there is a black man in a tan button up shirt- that's the guy that was pulled aside and asked about his experience. The casting person was VERY interested in him.

The second picture is where we entered into the cafeteria to fill out a form and have our headshot taken by some staffers. From showing up to walking out the door, it took us 2.5 hours for the whole experience!

Source: IslaBonita@TheODI

I read on your page that someone said at the open casting call they were looking for Spanish speaking individuals. I can speak Spanish and had that on my "resume" so I'll let you know if I get a call back ;) I never heard that they were specifically looking for Spanish speaking. They could also be searching for Japanese/Korean due to the Jin/Sun storyline. All they said at the casting call is that they were looking for ANY foreign language.

Here's a bit of info- a man besides us got pulled out of line to answer some questions about his skills. He was a bald, black man. Strange how they zeroed in on him. That's the only one I saw get special attention.

There were many children there and those who were boys, blond hair, blue eyes were of special interest- NO MATTER WHAT AGE. I saw some as old as about 5 and down to the babies being photographed.

If I hear of anything, I'll be sure to let you know.

LOST Producers Looking for The Black Rock!?

Yup that is right Losties.

Yesterday, we posted a little report from SecretAgentMan (SAM), who is a very reliable source for LOST Spoilers, saying that he had a "feeling" about a potential flash back for the Black Rock.

Well today we received some more information that seems to actually confirm SAM's feeling.

One of our sources from the local marina here in Los Angeles just provided us with some information that the LOST producers are in the process of looking for a "big black ominous looking ship".

Not only are they looking for this ship, but also booked a "chase" ship that will go after the black one..!!

We are hoping to get some pictures, but here is an image that was sent over of some similar boats that they were looking at. Also below is the message we received:

The Lost producers are looking for two ships, both need to be seaworthy. The main one they wanted was a big black ominous looking ship, but the ship company didn't have anything that was even remotely similar to what they described. However, they booked another ship and it's going to be a chase ship which goes after the big black one.

The chase ship is the oldest ship in the marina and it looks like it's from the 1500's. Do you know why they would want boats that looked to be several hundred years old?

They want to film out in the Pacific off the California coast in early September.

LOST Season 5 Production Has Begun!!

**UPDATED** 12AM PST Ryan has just posted his first set report for the season about today's filming and the details have been added below. Looks like some action took place at Kate's house and someone might have spotted baby Aaron on set.

Hey there spoiler lovers!!

As expected filming for Season 5 of LOST began this week. Our friend Ryan in Hawaii posted a little update on his twitter account, confirming that on Saturday I assume during the open casting call that the crew was looking for Spanish speaking people.

What could this mean?? Is it as simple as a connection to Hurley or much more?

Stay tuned to more updates as we will begin updates almost daily!!

Cameras started rolling this morning for Episode 5×01, “Because You Left,” in Kahala in East Honolulu. Shooting took place inside the private residence off Onaha Street that serves as Kate’s post-island home.

There were no sightings of Evangeline Lilly, but a couple of reports trickled in after I stopped by. One, a man in a doctor’s coat, and two, a blond toddler that “couldn’t have been older than two.” Could baby Aaron’s health post-rescue require a house call? Or did my sources just happen to spot random visitors to the set? We’ll have to wait until February to find out.

Somewhere east, LOST is filming. A casting staffer let slip on Saturday that Spanish speakers were wanted, but... that's all I have for now.

Like the first blooms of spring, there's always something heartwarming about spotting the first location shoot of a new season of "Lost."

Episode 4x12 There's No Place Like Home - O6 at Christian's Funeral

Hey Losties,
As most of you spoiler lovers should know by now, the most recent filming for Season 4 of LOST had the cast and crew filming a flash forward scene with the Oceanic 6 at a funeral. Also spotted on set was Nadia (who we know has her funeral in episode 4x09).

Thus the events being filmed in Episode 4x12 will actually take place before the events of the Ben (Michael Emerson) centric episode The Shape of Things to Come.

However, the two mysteries from today's set report were, where was Matthew Fox and whose funeral is it any way?? Well Ryan was able to confirm that Fox was on set and that the funeral was indeed for Christian Shepard as rumored...!!

So does this finally answer the big is CS Alive or Dead debate!? Actually not really unless we see his body dead again I believe there will always be believers that he is ALIVE!!

Well I would say the only final mystery left is where the hell is Sun (Yunjin Kim)?? Is she on set and she was just missed by fans!? Or is she already back in Korea!?

NOTE: If you missed the initial set report with all the set photos of the O6 and Nadia at the church click the following link:

Episode 4x12 Set Photos - O6 at Funeral!?

Here is Ryan's update:

This is definitely 4x12, and Stephen Williams was directing.

The person singled out in the photo is not Matthew Fox, but I'd heard he was expected. And now I have confirmation that he did arrive, and was filming inside the church.

I also have confirmation that it's Christian Shephard's funeral.

**UPDATED** Looks like a few eagle-eyed LOST fans seem to have also spotted Sayid with what looks like Nadia on set. Screencap added.

As reported earlier today, our good friend and very lucky man, Ryan@HawaiiBlog has found his way onto the LOST set once again!!

He is now back from his set visit with some very nice spoilers!! He has uploaded some very nice photos for the filming at St. Patrick's Church in Hawaii and provided us with a nice set report confirming Oceanic 6 members Sayid (Naveen Andrews), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Hurley (Jorge Garcia) and Aaron at a funeral!? Rumors were that Matthew Fox (Jack) was on his way and that the funeral was for an "older gentleman with gray hair" possibly Christian Shepard!?

A key note is that the season finale indeed does seem most likely to be a multi-centric Oceanic 6 episode!! However, do not forget previous rumors about a potential Claire centric episode.

Well here are the set photos and report, enjoy and namaste.

“LOST” landed in Kaimuki this morning, at St. Patrick’s Church on Waialae Avenue. The parking lot was staged with shiny BMWs and Mercedes (and a couple of black stretch limousines) with California plates. As an unusually large number of extras arrived, all dressed in black, it became clear they were there to film a funeral scene.

The actors were on the set soon enough. Jorge Garcia, Naveen Andrews, and Evangeline Lilly were tended to by wardrobe and make-up, along with another young female actress I didn’t recognize.

Other fans that had gathered speculated that the funeral was for Claire, but I spotted by chance a large portrait being carried into the church. A staid older gentleman with gray hair was depicted. Can't say for sure, but my mind flashed instantly to Christian Shephard.

The exterior scene involved Sayid and Kate standing outside the church as mourners filed in. A limo arrives, and Hurley exits along with the aforementioned young woman. And the woman, not Kate, is the one carrying the baby. The group hugs and talks briefly at the top of the stairs before heading inside. Though it looked like a flash forward involving many of the "Oceanic Six" (walkie chatter suggested Matthew Fox was en route), there was no flock of press.

Frankly I was more intrigued by Hurley's companion than the identity of the person being laid to rest. And were they bringing Aaron, or another baby entirely? A friend I saw there said the woman bore a slight resemblance to Marguerite Moreau, a.k.a. Hurley's crush Starla. But I admit that could just be wishful thinking on my part!

Season 4 - Little Filming Update

Looks like our good friend and very lucky Ryan has found his way onto the set again!! According to Ryan he is on the LOST set, has met Aaron and will have a full report for us later today.

nothing major just yet, but stayed tune for an update soon...!!

Here is what Ryan posted:

Another day, another "LOST" location shoot. Looks like an upper-crust ******* scene. I met a baby Aaron, too. More soon..

Episode 4x11 Cabin Fever - Locke v Science and Freighter Filming

Hey Losties,
I know there has not been much new to post about filming for Season 4 of LOST, but I did chat with our good friend Ryan@TheTransmission to ask him if there were any updates. He did confirm that over the last week or so that the LOST crew has been busy filming scenes "at sea" on the freighter and deep in the secluded parts of the forest where Team Locke and Jack first split up.

Unfortunately with the cast and crew filming in remote locations, it has been hard to get any good spoilers or scoops.

However, spies were able to confirm that some of the actors on the freighter seen were Sayid, Desmond, and Michael and that they "think" they saw Sun, Jin, and Kate!? This is interesting because this could be mean that the early stages of the "rescue" and formation of the Oceanic 6 are being filmed.

NOTE: The freighter scenes could possibly be for Episode 4x12

Also, after chatting with Ryan he did mention that his new podcast was up and that I should check it out (which I did and it was great) to see if we missed posting anything. Well it seems like there was a little tidbit that we did miss about the filming of Locke's childhood high school scenes.

During the podcast Ryan describes how had a chance to watch a scene get filmed inside the classroom and that it was a scene with Young Locke speaking with his teacher and that he seemed quite upset when he said: "Don't you understand science can't solve everything!!"

So it seems like this episode will not only explore Locke's childhood but also more about the Man of Science v. Man of Faith debate that has played a central role in his character.

Also what other potential goodies will we get this episode that link the concepts of science v faith!?

As always thanks for stopping by and namaste.

Episode 4x11 - On-Island Filming Update

**UPDATED** Added Ryan's new set report.

Key points of interest is that Lance Reddick (Abbadon) was on set at the same time Terry O' Quinn (Locke) was. What exactly Abbadon is doing in a scene during a Locke Flash back episode?? Well one can only imagine. Is it possible this could be part of a Flash forward as well!?

Other stars seen on set were, Josh Holloway, Yunjin Kin, Daniel Dae Kim, Emilie De Ravin, Rebecca Mader, and Jeremy Davies.

Big key here being Claire does NOT die in Episode 4x09 The Shape of Things to Come.

It’s been a busy week for the “LOST” production team, and with five episodes to produce in a little over a month, that’s hardly surprising. We’re deep into the production of Episode 4×11, which is apparently Locke-centric, and “LOST” crews have been spotted all over the island working hard to bring the story to your TV screens.

On Thursday, workers returned to the old Waimano Home in Pearl City, where Locke’s birth (and an apparent visit by Richard Alpert) was filmed the day before. I’m told the folks on set were much less talkative on day two, and the set was apparently a different part of the facility… but both Terry O’Quinn and Lance Reddick (Matthew Abbadon) were seen in the neighborhood.

That same day, visiting German student and fan Marcel again caught “LOST” at work, this time high in the mountains. They were filming an on-island scene along Manoa Falls Trail, complete with mysterious DHARMA door in the grassy hillside. He saw Josh Holloway and Emilie DeRavin in the morning, and when I joined him during my lunch break, we watched Daniel Dae Kim, Yunjin Kim, Rebecca Mader and Jeremy Davies traipse through the jungle, over and over and over again. Making television is hard work!

But that’s not all. Word quickly spread on the coconut wireless thanks to some excited Teach for America workers, a handful of which were thrilled to find “LOST” setting up shop at Leilehua High School in Wahiawa (just one town over from where we live in Mililani). I headed up to the campus after work, and was able to watch them film a couple of scenes.

The young extras were dressed in 1960s fashions (brown gingham dresses and high socks), including several cheerleaders… much to the delight of some Leilehua High School boys that were hanging around. And attention was focused on a young man with brown hair, a collared shirt, and a severe countenance. It was John Locke at sixteen, having an intense conversation with a teacher, a green “Cowin Heights Knights” school crest hanging over his shoulder. Let’s just say our “Man of Faith” has had issues with science for a long time.

“LOST” returned to Wahiawa today, filming more at Leilehua High, and filming another scene elsewhere in the neighborhood. No sign of any actors, but the sight of some classic American cars was hard to miss.

**Original Post**

I just chatted with our good friend Ryan@HawaiiBlog and he confirmed that in addition to the High School Filming yesterday, some On-Island scenes were filmed by the LOST cast and crew.

No real spoilers yet, but he confirmed that several of the Losties were on set or as he put it "saw four stars (and missed two more) in an island scene" and that he will make a post later with more details and set photos. So keep checking back here for an update soon.

I am assuming since this is a Locke FB episode that Team Locke was on set.

Thanks for stopping by and namaste.

Episode 4x11 Cabin Fever - Filming at Leilehua High School

Click Here for Most Recent Filming Update

Hey All,
Yesterday the LOST crew was at it again and they were continuing with filming Season 4 Episode 11 which has pretty much been confirmed a Locke (Terry O' Quinn) Flashback.

This FB is a little unique as it explores Locke's childhood, beginning even as early as his birth possibly. Well I exchanged a couple of emails with our good friend Ryan@HawaiiBlog about the filming that took place yesterday and he did say that the crew was at a high school (Leilehua HS) and that he saw a Young 16-Year Old Locke on set and that the other students were dressed in 60s/70s clothing.

All of this definitely matches the Episode 4x11 casting call that we posted a couple of weeks ago.

Additionally one of DarkUFO's sources was able to confirm that the High School's name that will be used in the show is Cowin Heights Knights and that thes scene was a kid (most likely Locke) coming out of a locker.

Poor Young Locke.

LOST in London - Filming Update

LOST Stars Michael Emerson (Ben), Yunjin Kim (Sun) and director Jack Bender have flown into London and according to our good friend DarkUFO, they will be filming some scenes this weekend.

Click Here to See Fan Images of Michael Emerson in London

Based on Bender directing previous season finales it seems like any scenes being filmed in London would most likely be for the Season 4 finale.

Why would they film in London, when practically everything else has been filmed in Hawaii!? What are they filming!?

Well here is some speculation and food for thought:

1) Alan Dale who plays Widmore is currently working in a London theater on Spamalot. This seems like the most likely scenario, where Dale was unable to fly to London and the LOST crew flew to him. Perhaps they are just filming some interior scenes so where they are filming is irrelevant.

2) Perhaps a very specific location for an outdoor scene was required. We did see Big Ben as part of the Find815.com billboard marketing, could this be the reason? Seems unlikely, because Sun and Ben filming a potential off-island scene on location in London would definitely require some explanation.

3) Could this scene be the reason Sun is not with Jin (whether he is alive or not) during Episode 4x07 Ji Yeon.

4) Perhaps there is some sort of scene about Sun's pregnancy and Ben is keeping a close eye on the situation.

5) There has been much speculation about the finale being an Oceanic 6 FF and the producers have confirmed that The Orchid will come into play. The Orchid is apparently connected to some form of time travel/teleportation, could Ben be showing Sun how the Orchid works.

Well here is Dark's post:

I've just received some info from one of my trusted sources.

It appears that Michael Emerson and Yunjin Kim have just flown into Heathrow for some London based filming along with Jack Bender. My source is speculating that this could be some scenes from the Finale although this part is purely speculation based on Jack Bender directing previous Finale's.

So whose episode could this be seeing that it is based in London, and what are they doing in London?

Are they confronting Widmore whose office is based in London?

Episode 4x11 - Alpert at Locke's Birth!?

Hey Losties,
This is NOT another April Fools Day post, but we do have some really interesting spoilers today from our good friend Ryan@HawaiiBlog about today's LOST filming!!

The LOST crew was at what is known as the Waimano Home, where once again the crew was filming more hospital scenes. Yet, this time the LOST set was setup to look like the 1950s era!!

Ryan confirmed that the scene included a baby and a young Emily Locke, which does fit the casting call for episode 4x11!!

However, the real kicker was the appearance of a well dressed Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) on set and after speaking with Ryan about Carbonell's appearance. He really feels that Carbonell was in full wardrobe as the "ageless" Alpert and not just visiting the set....!!

There was no confirmation about Alpert being a part of this scene, but I agree with Ryan about him being so well dressed just to "visit" the set. Another interesting tidbit is that apparently Terry O' Quinn (Locke) is scheduled to be on set tomorrow!!

So what does it all mean you ask!? Yup, that is right Richard Alpert is at Locke's birth!? So was Alpert traveling through time under Ben's orders or perhaps with Locke back to his birth...!? Is Locke the chosen one and Alpert and the natives of the island knew this all before the crash even happened!? Could this be more evidence to the Set-Up Theories!?

BTW, this does confirm that this episode is indeed a Locke Centric Flashback.

What do you all think is happening!?

Here are the details:

LOST found its way deep in the forest above Pearl City today at the old Waimano Home complex. The area is known today mostly for great ridge and valley hiking, and the drab buildings — formerly a mental institution — now house offices for the state’s public safety and health departments. As it turns out, the drab, decrepit concrete structures were exactly the look “LOST” was going for. The scene being filmed takes place in a hospital maternity ward, but the mood seemed anything but joyous.

Wardrobe seemed decidedly rooted in the 1950s, from the hospital staff to the dapperly dressed men and women scattered around the set. One of the main faces was familiar, the other was not. Nestor Carbonell (the much-missed Richard Alpert) was spotted, looking especially stylish in a suit. But the center of attention was a distraught woman in her 20s. I have no idea who the actress was, but her character’s name may ring a bell: Emily.

Emily who? Well, it would be one of the (real, not TV) nurses who would help connect the final dots, just mentioning offhand one of the babies on the set today. A baby whose adult incarnation was apparently expected to be on the scene tomorrow. And a baby whose mother we have seen before… just much, much older: Emily Locke. Yes, the very one who sold her son out, and who also spent some time in Santa Rosa.

Imagining the eerily ageless Richard Alpert off-island in the 1950s is amazing enough. But could it be that he was there for John Locke’s birth? The mind boggles.

With Paul Edwards in the director’s chair, my guess is that this is all for Episode

Filming Update - LOST Returns to Santa Rosa!!

Hey Losties,
We have a bunch of new LOST set pictures and spoilers today from our good friend Ryan@TheTransmission!!

Surprisingly the LOST crew and filming have returned to Windward Community College which is the Santa Rosa Mental Hospital set where we last saw Hurley (Jorge Garcia) in a Flashforward!?

Not only is the crew back on the set of Santa Rosa, but both Garcia and Matthew Fox were spotted on set with some doctors and orderlies. Also pictured was Jack's truck!!

Now, what episode is being filming is a whole different question. We have seen set pics for the potential Sayid or Ben Episode 4x09 and Kate is rumored to have episode 4x10.

However, today's filming suggests a potential Hurley or Jack Flashforward once again.
Well as Ryan mentioned, the only real clue we got was the appearance of a doctor who could fit the casting call for Dr. Stillman for episode 4x10.

Is it possible that the crew is working on a Oceanic 6 Multi-Centric episode?? Is this the filming of the rumored Jack Centric finales!? Perhaps it is just another Hurley FF!?

Here are the details and set pictures:

“LOST” returned to the Windward Community College campus in Kaneohe today to film another scene at the “Santa Rosa Mental Institute.” A sign was set up in back, fronting a sometimes soccer field, and Jack’s old pickup truck was parked nearby. Filming took place inside Hale Kuhina, the continuing education/employment training building, with Jorge Garcia and Matthew Fox. A man dressed as a doctor (Dr. Stillman, perhaps, given recent casting calls) and a couple of burly orderlies were also sighted milling about.

Hale Kuhina is within a stone’s throw of the Hawaii State Hospital building and shady tree that served as the Santa Rosa lawn where Hurley received a mysterious visit from Charlie.

Jorge Garcia Answers a Few Fan Questions

Jorge Garcia who plays Hurley on LOST answered a few questions over at The Fuselage yesterday.

Nothing really new and no major spoilers, but he did confirm that we will "definitely" see Smokey this season and that they are currently filming episodes 4x09 and 4x10.

Thanks to Lyly for the details:

Hi dude!
I'm from Chile, and I'd like ask you about the episodes you've made after of 4x08, or since March 10th. What episodes you ended? How many episodes left you?
Thanks.

We're currently working on 409 and 410.
We will shoot through episode 413.

Source: The Fuselage

Hi Jorge,
Just a few quick questions:

1. Will we see the Smoke Monster before the end of season 4 ?
2. How long does it take to shoot an episode of Lost? a week?

Thanks for taking the time to answer.
Take Care,
Melissa -----Richmond Va

1. Definitely.
2. It takes about two. A week and a half on first unit and then a few more days on second to wrap it up.

Episode 4x09 and 4x10 - Filming Updates

As we all know LOST is currently on a 5 week hiatus, but filming and production for the final 5 episodes of Season 4 is in full swing. Over the last week we have posted several set photos and reports for episode 4x09 The Shape of Things to Come and we hope to have more spoilers for the remaining episodes soon.

Thanks to DocArzt we have the following filming update and rumors.

4.09 - The Shape of Things To Come

Ryan in Hawaii (The Transmission) let me know that filming wrapped today on Police Beach. This means we will see the beachies, as well as camp Locke.

There are some rumors from a reputable source that GI Jack (aka Through the Looking Glass Jack) was in action. Is The Shape of Things To Come a multi-character flash forward? (Ryan's info does not corroborate this rumor.)

Locations used for The Shape of Things to Come: Papailoa (Police Beach AKA Camp Jack), Camp Erdman (Otherton, Camp Locke), Heeia Kea (The forested valley where Karl was shot), Honolulu Community College (Iraq), and Diamond Head for the Otherton interiors and anything secret they may have filmed. Altogether they filmed two solid days on the Iraq set, and another day for pick ups. Definitely enough footage to cover the flash segment, throwing the GI Jack rumor under the shadow of doubt. (Thanks Ryan, again!)

4.10 - Untitled

Dominic Monaghan suggested that 4.10 is a Kate Centric episode.

4.10 Is being shot tomorrow(ish) and there is a TON of interior shooting going on at Diamond Head Studio (thanks, Ryan, again.) I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that 4.10 is going to show us the interior of "The Orchid." But that's nothing more than a guess at this point.

BEYOND: There is a nasty nasty rumor floating around that there will NOT be a Sawyer centric episode this season. That just doesn't seem right.

Source: DocArzt

Episode 4x09 - Filming Update

Here is another update from the filming for LOST Episode 4x09 which seems now to definitely be a Sayid (Naveen Andrews) Centric episode.

According to this update, there are definitely items on the set to confirm the set is made up to look like Iraq. Early spoilers for this filming had it as a possible location in Tunisia, but with yesterday's major revelation and spoilers, this episode is most likely a Sayid Centric episode.

Here are the details:

The filming location at HCC is still intact, BTW. Apparently they were filming just Thursday and Friday, so no one was there. My Dad drove me over there this afternoon and we took a look around. It's really neat looking. Looks like war-torn Iraq for a Sayid flashback. There is no security and you can walk right on in (or at least no major security. We thought there was one guy sitting in a security car with his back to us in the lot where all the production trucks were, but he didn't get up the entire time we were there -not even with my dad loudly pointing out details).

-we noticed that one of the apartments on the third floor of the building in the back looks blackened and burned out
-there's a restaurant/bar area on one side that looks like it probably had people sitting at it since there were a bunch of chairs inside
-the car in the center has a wooden structure around it marked with "top" and "bottom", so it probably was featured predominantly in the scene, and the archway just behind it had scrapes on the side of it as if the car had ploughed through it and scraped the sides.
-and there are posters of Saddam Hussein on the walls painted over with graffiti

Episode 4x09 Bakir - New Behind the Scenes Set Pics

**UPDATED** 9:30PM PST - ADDED: Ryan's Set report which confirms more filming tomorrow and Friday. plus we have removed some of the images to improve the load time of the post, but you can still view all of his pics at the links below.

Looks like we should have some good info in the next two days and a possible confirmation on the episode will focus on.

Though “LOST” production started in earnest on Monday, March 10, work was largely limited to the Hawaii Film Studio on Diamond Head. Today, however, substantial construction work was coming together in urban Honolulu for a two-day location shoot beginning tomorrow. The crew has been building a dusty, rubble-strewn Middle Eastern town in the back corner of a school.

What town? Signage appears to be in sanskrit, and the campus-wide alert advising students and staff of the filming described it as an “Iraq/Afghanistan scene” — but this may be a guess.

There was a remarkable amount of carpentry and concrete, with new structures going up in front of an existing facade of low-rise apartments. Military trucks and wrecked cars stood guard in front of roadside stands selling pottery and used luggage. A large archway seemed to serve as the centerpiece of the scene.

Filming is scheduled for both tomorrow and Friday, and no doubt students will gather to watch between classes. The first star sightings will likely provide the best clue as to whose character’s story will be covered in Episode 4×09, “Bakir.”

Ryan@The Transmission

Hey All,
LOST Production is back and rolling!! Thanks to our good friend Ryan@The Transmission for the first set photos of Episode 4x09 (Bakir).

According to previous LOST spoilers, this episode features Middle Eastern characters and from the set pics you can clearly see that the set is being built to look like it is set some where in the Middle East.

Ryan is still on the set and promises more soon. So please check back for updates, but in the mean time here are the set pics.

Enjoy and namaste.
