Hey Losties,
I know there has not been much new to post about filming for Season 4 of LOST, but I did chat with our good friend Ryan@TheTransmission to ask him if there were any updates. He did confirm that over the last week or so that the LOST crew has been busy filming scenes "at sea" on the freighter and deep in the secluded parts of the forest where Team Locke and Jack first split up.
Unfortunately with the cast and crew filming in remote locations, it has been hard to get any good spoilers or scoops.
However, spies were able to confirm that some of the actors on the freighter seen were Sayid, Desmond, and Michael and that they "think" they saw Sun, Jin, and Kate!? This is interesting because this could be mean that the early stages of the "rescue" and formation of the Oceanic 6 are being filmed.
NOTE: The freighter scenes could possibly be for Episode 4x12
Also, after chatting with Ryan he did mention that his new podcast was up and that I should check it out (which I did and it was great) to see if we missed posting anything. Well it seems like there was a little tidbit that we did miss about the filming of Locke's childhood high school scenes.
During the podcast Ryan describes how had a chance to watch a scene get filmed inside the classroom and that it was a scene with Young Locke speaking with his teacher and that he seemed quite upset when he said: "Don't you understand science can't solve everything!!"
So it seems like this episode will not only explore Locke's childhood but also more about the Man of Science v. Man of Faith debate that has played a central role in his character.
Also what other potential goodies will we get this episode that link the concepts of science v faith!?
As always thanks for stopping by and namaste.

Episode 4x11 and 4x12 Titles Confirmed

on Wednesday, April 9, 2008
We have just gotten word from our good friend DarkUFO about the titles for LOST Season 4 Episode 11 and 12.
Episode 4x11 is a Locke (Terry O' Quinn) flashback and will be titled "Cabin Fever". While episode 4x12 is the first part of the finale and will be titled There's No Place Like Home. The finale is rumored to be potentially a multi-centric episode.
Here are the details:
Just been sent these title by my contact. Like all titles these could just be working titles although every time we've said this in the past the episode titles have remained unchanged, although these titles feel a little odd.
But for now we have.

Episode 4x11 - On-Island Filming Update
Posted by
The ODI
on Friday, April 4, 2008
**UPDATED** Added Ryan's new set report.
Key points of interest is that Lance Reddick (Abbadon) was on set at the same time Terry O' Quinn (Locke) was. What exactly Abbadon is doing in a scene during a Locke Flash back episode?? Well one can only imagine. Is it possible this could be part of a Flash forward as well!?
Other stars seen on set were, Josh Holloway, Yunjin Kin, Daniel Dae Kim, Emilie De Ravin, Rebecca Mader, and Jeremy Davies.
Big key here being Claire does NOT die in Episode 4x09 The Shape of Things to Come.
It’s been a busy week for the “LOST” production team, and with five episodes to produce in a little over a month, that’s hardly surprising. We’re deep into the production of Episode 4×11, which is apparently Locke-centric, and “LOST” crews have been spotted all over the island working hard to bring the story to your TV screens.
On Thursday, workers returned to the old Waimano Home in Pearl City, where Locke’s birth (and an apparent visit by Richard Alpert) was filmed the day before. I’m told the folks on set were much less talkative on day two, and the set was apparently a different part of the facility… but both Terry O’Quinn and Lance Reddick (Matthew Abbadon) were seen in the neighborhood.
That same day, visiting German student and fan Marcel again caught “LOST” at work, this time high in the mountains. They were filming an on-island scene along Manoa Falls Trail, complete with mysterious DHARMA door in the grassy hillside. He saw Josh Holloway and Emilie DeRavin in the morning, and when I joined him during my lunch break, we watched Daniel Dae Kim, Yunjin Kim, Rebecca Mader and Jeremy Davies traipse through the jungle, over and over and over again. Making television is hard work!
But that’s not all. Word quickly spread on the coconut wireless thanks to some excited Teach for America workers, a handful of which were thrilled to find “LOST” setting up shop at Leilehua High School in Wahiawa (just one town over from where we live in Mililani). I headed up to the campus after work, and was able to watch them film a couple of scenes.
The young extras were dressed in 1960s fashions (brown gingham dresses and high socks), including several cheerleaders… much to the delight of some Leilehua High School boys that were hanging around. And attention was focused on a young man with brown hair, a collared shirt, and a severe countenance. It was John Locke at sixteen, having an intense conversation with a teacher, a green “Cowin Heights Knights” school crest hanging over his shoulder. Let’s just say our “Man of Faith” has had issues with science for a long time.
“LOST” returned to Wahiawa today, filming more at Leilehua High, and filming another scene elsewhere in the neighborhood. No sign of any actors, but the sight of some classic American cars was hard to miss.

I just chatted with our good friend Ryan@HawaiiBlog and he confirmed that in addition to the High School Filming yesterday, some On-Island scenes were filmed by the LOST cast and crew.
No real spoilers yet, but he confirmed that several of the Losties were on set or as he put it "saw four stars (and missed two more) in an island scene" and that he will make a post later with more details and set photos. So keep checking back here for an update soon.
I am assuming since this is a Locke FB episode that Team Locke was on set.

Hey All,
Yesterday the LOST crew was at it again and they were continuing with filming Season 4 Episode 11 which has pretty much been confirmed a Locke (Terry O' Quinn) Flashback.
This FB is a little unique as it explores Locke's childhood, beginning even as early as his birth possibly. Well I exchanged a couple of emails with our good friend Ryan@HawaiiBlog about the filming that took place yesterday and he did say that the crew was at a high school (Leilehua HS) and that he saw a Young 16-Year Old Locke on set and that the other students were dressed in 60s/70s clothing.
All of this definitely matches the Episode 4x11 casting call that we posted a couple of weeks ago.
Additionally one of DarkUFO's sources was able to confirm that the High School's name that will be used in the show is Cowin Heights Knights and that thes scene was a kid (most likely Locke) coming out of a locker.
Poor Young Locke.

Episode 4x11 - Alpert at Locke's Birth!?

on Wednesday, April 2, 2008
Hey Losties,This is NOT another April Fools Day post, but we do have some really interesting spoilers today from our good friend Ryan@HawaiiBlog about today's LOST filming!!
The LOST crew was at what is known as the Waimano Home, where once again the crew was filming more hospital scenes. Yet, this time the LOST set was setup to look like the 1950s era!!
Ryan confirmed that the scene included a baby and a young Emily Locke, which does fit the casting call for episode 4x11!!
However, the real kicker was the appearance of a well dressed Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) on set and after speaking with Ryan about Carbonell's appearance. He really feels that Carbonell was in full wardrobe as the "ageless" Alpert and not just visiting the set....!!There was no confirmation about Alpert being a part of this scene, but I agree with Ryan about him being so well dressed just to "visit" the set. Another interesting tidbit is that apparently Terry O' Quinn (Locke) is scheduled to be on set tomorrow!!
So what does it all mean you ask!? Yup, that is right Richard Alpert is at Locke's birth!? So was Alpert traveling through time under Ben's orders or perhaps with Locke back to his birth...!? Is Locke the chosen one and Alpert and the natives of the island knew this all before the crash even happened!? Could this be more evidence to the Set-Up Theories!?
BTW, this does confirm that this episode is indeed a Locke Centric Flashback.
What do you all think is happening!?
Here are the details:
LOST found its way deep in the forest above Pearl City today at the old Waimano Home complex. The area is known today mostly for great ridge and valley hiking, and the drab buildings — formerly a mental institution — now house offices for the state’s public safety and health departments. As it turns out, the drab, decrepit concrete structures were exactly the look “LOST” was going for. The scene being filmed takes place in a hospital maternity ward, but the mood seemed anything but joyous.Wardrobe seemed decidedly rooted in the 1950s, from the hospital staff to the dapperly dressed men and women scattered around the set. One of the main faces was familiar, the other was not. Nestor Carbonell (the much-missed Richard Alpert) was spotted, looking especially stylish in a suit. But the center of attention was a distraught woman in her 20s. I have no idea who the actress was, but her character’s name may ring a bell: Emily.
Emily who? Well, it would be one of the (real, not TV) nurses who would help connect the final dots, just mentioning offhand one of the babies on the set today. A baby whose adult incarnation was apparently expected to be on the scene tomorrow. And a baby whose mother we have seen before… just much, much older: Emily Locke. Yes, the very one who sold her son out, and who also spent some time in Santa Rosa.
Imagining the eerily ageless Richard Alpert off-island in the 1950s is amazing enough. But could it be that he was there for John Locke’s birth? The mind boggles.
With Paul Edwards in the director’s chair, my guess is that this is all for Episode

Hey All,
Here is a little follow up to some spoilers that were posted last week.
We already have seen the promo for LOST Season 4 Episode 9 where you can see what seems like one of the Othersville (Barracks) houses on fire. Plus, we posted a set report last week confirming that one of the houses was on fire during a recent shoot.
However, thanks to a LOST Fan and DarkUFO reader we get a confirmation that they indeed filmed one of the houses exploding and that they had to do a second take to get it right!!
Looks like that war Ben has promised will really happen...!?
The fan also confirmed some filming over at Dillingham Lodge, but no word yet on what scene was being filmed there. I am assuming based on what is currently scheduled to be filmed it is possibly for episode 4x11.
Thanks to Matthew from DarkUFO for the following details:
I'm a Lost fan currently living on Maui, and yesterday, Wednesday, my girlfriend and I were visiting her uncle on Oahu. We were driving around, looking for past Lost filming locations, and happened upon where they were currently filming.
So I'm sure you already know this, and it isn't particularly helpful, but on Wednesday, from at least 10am till noon, there was filming at Dillingham Lodge. Or should I say, all the traffic was going in and out of the Dillingham estate through the entrance/exit with the "Lodge" sign overhead. We drove by it a couple of times, and once stopped to ask the big security dude what was going on. He said that they were filming Lost there, but that of course we couldn't go on the property.
And while certainly not any new news, we heard from a YMCA Camp Erdman staffer that last week they had filmed there. He told us an interesting story of how the production crew built a new barracks/house just so they could blow it up. He said the first explosion wasn't big enough, so they did it over again, finally getting the explosion they wanted. One part of the camp certainly had the ashes all over the ground to prove it!

New Season 4 Casting Call
Here is the latest casting call for Season 4 of LOST. It is not for a major character and we do not know which episode this character will make an appearance in, but it is always nice to try and figure out how a new character will fit into the storyline and how.
Currently LOST is filming episodes 4x09 and 4x10, and we have seen a previous casting call for episode 11, so perhaps this role is the finale? The most notable part of the casting call is that it references a birth of a baby, again!?

Season 4
Kristin from E! Online most recent post has provided us with a couple of little spoilers for Season 4 of LOST.
Not sure how many of you really care or would be excited for this, but Kristin says her sources informed her that another Kate (Evangeline Lilly) centric episode is coming soon. She also mentions the episode 11 casting call which we have already posted.
The details are below.
Thanks to Lyly for the heads up.
NOTE: Took out the non-LOST related info.
Anything on Lost?
For starters, I'll be heading out to Hawaii next week to hit the set.
Also, I'm hearing that Evangeline Lily has another Kate-centric episode coming up (holler!) which I think may work out to be episode 10, and for you who are wondering about her highlighted-hair look from the opening of Dominic Monaghan's photo gallery exhibit (stand by for much more on that!), it was a wig, yes, but she hadn't "pulled a Britney" and shaved her head, you silly ducklings. I saw her the night before while interviewing Dom, and it was just as brown and long and purty and real as ever.
Lost dish, please!
A little casting dish on the 11th episode: They're casting two teenagers (a boy and a girl) and a 5-year-old boy. And here's an interesting thing: The teenage girl needs to have red hair. Could it possibly be a flashback for Charlotte? Hmmm...
