Wendell: Lost scoop, now!
Sir, yes, sir! I can assure you that the first episode is nothing short of amazing, and you best have your DVR hooked up because you'll want to watch it at least twice. No, make that 18 times. The sixth-season premiere will present us with two seemingly incompatible storylines: One in which we find out someone we thought was dead is actually alive (a certain very pretty someone) in the same time that we last saw him or her, and the other in which we will see Flight 815 again (which I'm pretty sure all of you have heard about by now). It's a head-scratcher, for sure. But an awesome head-scratcher, nonetheless. And these two storylines will go on for a little while (in different decades) from what I hear.

Drew in Madrid: Will we see Rose again on Lost? I miss her!
Yes, definitely. According to my source, "She and Jack (Matthew Fox) will be reunited, and this time it will feel so good!" (FYI, we're thinking of a very specific Jack and Rose scene. Post your guesses about which one in the comments.)

Michael in La Jolla, Calif.: Please tell me something about Lost! Anything! I'm dying without more spoilers.
How about a little scoop on our longtime girl crush? We already know that Rebecca Mader (Charlotte) is back on Lost in some capacity this season, but what's the real deal behind her resurrection? "I can't say," she tells us with a grin. And just why not? "Because it's really, really, really, really, really, really exciting and I don't want to ruin it. It's too good to say." (Yes, she really said really that many times!) And on that note, this is the most revealing thing we were able to get out of her: "It's going to blow people's heads off." Sounds like someone's taking a page out of the Dexter handbook. OMG, does Trinity kill Charlotte?!

Carlton Cuse Leaks Spoiler via Twitter!

So in this world of Twitter, Facebook and Social Media Networking, the spoiler fandom has also become even more anxious.

So for fans of LOST when writer and producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse joined Twitter this was the best of both worlds. Putting us that much closer to the creative world of LOST via Social Media. However, little did we know that a casting spoiler would be leaked via either one of them.

Earlier this week via a set report we learned that Rebecca Mader aka Charlotte would be returning for Season 6.

Well Carlton Cuse confirmed it by saying they were happy seeing her back back.

Of course I am sure the spoiler-free fans were not too happy to get that tidbit from him, but here is the Tweeet:

Episode 6x08 Recon - Sawyer and Charlotte Meet!?

Episode 6x08 Recon - Sawyer and Charlotte Meet!?

Here is a very interesting filming update from our good friend Ryan in Hawaii who received a nice little set report from a visiting fan named Damian. Apparently the scene took place at an upscale restaurant (Diamond Head Grill), which is in Waikiki and not too far from the Diamond Head Studios.

Several well dressed extras were a part of the shoot along with stars Josh Holloway (Sawyer) and Rebecca Mader (Charlotte). I remember when we interviewed Mader on the ODI LOST podcast I believe she said that Josh was awesome and she would love to work with him again. I guess it looks like she got her wish!

I really wonder if we are still in an ALT storyline or there is some connection to Sawyer and Charlotte we never knew about?

Here is a snippet from Ryan's report:

Josh Holloway (Sawyer) was spotted, looking quite handsome, wearing black pants and a purple shirt. But his companion was an even more striking sight, in a colorful evening dress: Rebecca Mader (Charlotte).

There is not too much more because it was an indoor shoot, but you can view the full report here: Hawaii Blog

Rebecca Mader Returns for Season 6!!

Rebecca Mader, who was prematurely killed off Lost last season, has agreed to reprise her role of anthropologist Charlotte Lewis after completing a string of back-to-back films—including “The Men Who Stare at Goats,” with George Clooney, and 2010’s “Ceremony,” with Uma Thurman. “I am beyond thrilled to be returning to Lost!” Mader e-mailed me. “Being a part of this show has been one of the greatest moments in my career thus far. I’m excited to see everyone!” Everyone, I assume, includes that polar bear skeleton Charlotte discovered in the Tunisian desert. (Please, let her return finally explain how that creature got there!)

Latest Filming Updates from The Transmission

Hey All,
Our good friend Ryan from The Transmission Podcast has informed us that their new podcast is now available and you can listen to the latest filming updates and tidbits.

Here is a summary with a link to the podcast:

http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp3/media.libsyn.com/media/hawaii/lostcast20090322.mp3

1) Last Wednesday, they were at Papailoa, a.k.a. Police Beach, with a
huge contingent of extras. Matt and Roxy were able to observe from a
distance, and both said essentially the same thing: lots of guns.

2) On Friday the 13th, they were filming at the U.S.S. Bowfin submarine
museum at Pearl Harbor. The Bowfin previously served as the interior
of the Others' submarine, the Galaga. Once again Roxy responded to the
call, and spent some time watching the action. On the set were Josh
Holloway, Jeremy Davies, Evangeline Lilly and Elizabeth Mitchell.
There was also a young girl -- young Charlotte. The key scene was a
fight sequence that leaves Sawyer pretty badly bloodied and battered.

3) This week and last, several days of filming at Heeia Kea in Kaneohe.
Largely shielded from view, the area has been used for a variety of
jungle scenes. Could it be The Swan under construction? Or a return
to The Temple. Source said there was a large contingent of extras
summoned to play Others.

Rebecca Mader Confirms Death of Charlotte

For those of you who still felt there was hope for Charlotte, in a recent interview Rebecca Mader confirmed she had known about her death since June 08 before they began filming for Season 5.

I know some of you did not really like her character, but I think she was great and to lose her with so many more questions about who, how, what and why makes it worse.

Here is Mader's interview with LA Times and she like previous cast members said there is a chance for a return in Season 6.

How did the producers break it to you that Charlotte was going to die?

I've known since June of '08, because that's when we negotiate contracts between seasons. Originally when I started on the show in August 2007, I was only supposed to do eight episodes. I ended up doing 20. I was on the show a lot longer than I thought I was going to be. A lot of it has to do with the writers strike. Less episodes in Season 4 meant back stories were compromised for the new people. I think that's why my character carried into Season 5.

And how did you take it?

I was disappointed when I found out. When I got to the end of Season 4 and found out Charlotte had been born on the island, that was huge. So when I found out I was leaving, I was disappointed. Like all things, it's for the best.

How much did they tell you about Charlotte initially?

When I first got the job, I was told nothing about my character. She's an anthropologist and she's tough; she's a female Indiana Jones. That's what I went into the show knowing. That's all I knew all of Season 4, until the very end, when I learned I was originally from the island. I was on a break reading my script, and I said, "Bloody hell!"

It seems like the actors spend a lot of time just walking across the island. True?

[Lots of laughter] Traipsing. It's a lot of traipsing. You have to do it a lot of times. First you walk up the hill, then you go down the hill, then you go back up the hill. By the end of the day, you don't want to be on the hill anymore.

So many people who "die" on the show keep showing up. What's your sense of how likely you are to return?

I may end up coming back in Season 6. Some people say, "You'll be back!" If I'm not, never mind. If they turn around and ask me to come back, I'd be happy to do it.

Fans spend so much time obsessing over the clues on this show. How much time do the actors who make the show spend thinking over the creation of those clues?

[Laughter] I have to be careful how I answer this. I think they're more concerned by what's for lunch.

Episode 5x03 - What to Expect and Beyond

Here is the latest from Kristin's LOST Recap

* One beloved Lostie will be a mortal danger by the end of next week's episode. OK, fine, it's Charlotte. Those nosebleeds are going to get much worse before they get any better. Luckily she has Daniel Faraday on her side, and he has a wicked-bad crush on Charlotte, and he's going to save his crush object...Right, Lost? Right?
* Miles sees four dead people next week, and the reason those dead people were on the Island in the first place might just explain many of the Lost mysteries.
* We'll be reminded next week that it's always handy to have an Other on your side. Look for Juliet to reveal another secret power of her Otherhood.

Latest from Ausiello - Update About Charlotte

As most of you know, Charlotte is seen with a nosebleed in promos and in some angles it even seems like she is passed out.

Well when Ausiello from EW was asked about a major character death he said that he does not know of any, but that a "female cast-member isn't long for this world." He confirms that this character recently signed a Hollywood movie and that means it probably does not look to good as well.

Of course he is talking about Charlotte, but I have no idea if he is saying she might die!?

What do you all think?

Reports About Othersville and Young Charlotte!!

Hey All,
As most of you know we have had several filming reports and set photos confirming that we will see the Oceanic 6 back on the island and with many of them in Dharma Jumpsuits. On-Island Losties Sawyer and Jin have also been spotted.

Well more fans have sent in reports to our good friend Ryan out in Hawaii providing us with a few new details.

Here is a little summary of the reports:

1) New Dharma Logo was spotted on the Othersvlle set, the logo with a wrench in the center!
2) Othersville is freshly painted and looks all nice and new.
3) A Dharma "Processing Center" is a part of the set, which includes several props including pictures of new recruits. The latest date spotted was 1976!
4) A yellow lab possibly Vincent was spotted.
5) Regarding the VW filming on the cliff (photos posted yesterday) Hurley was spotted in the driver seat while Sawyer had a Dharma Jumpsuit on, but Jack was in the shirt in tie still. Kate and LOST Producers Damon and Carlton were on set.
6) At another set at Kawela Bay,some large props were spotted including a structure that seems like a 20 ft tall Teepee with out the covering.
7) Plus, as part of their most recent podcast at The Transmission, we get a confirmation that we will see Young Charlotte and learn about her birthplace afterall perhaps via a Charlotte Flashback.

You can read the full reports over at Hawaii Blog and you can listen to the podcast at The Transmission.

Once again thanks to all the fans for the reports and Ryan for the heads up!

More About Mrs. Hawking and Abaddon Returns

Earlier today EW's Ausiello reported that Ms. Hawking will be returning this season and has a connection with another Lostie not named Desmond. Of course many of you have speculated at the potential options. Well he has now come back to say Hawking's connection is that she is "related" to this Lostie. My guess is Charlotte.

Ausiello also posted some casting info which we already have posted and confirmed that Lance Reddick was filming an episode this past week (most likely Episode 5x06).

Here is his post:

Question: Your Lost spoiler tease in this week's Ausiello TV is driving me nuts. Can you please give us a hint as to the nature of the connection between Fionnula Flanagan's creepy ring-seller and "another major character" who is not Desmond? -- Vanessa

Ausiello: They're r*l*t**.

Question: The lack of Lost scoop is killing me. -- Ahmed

Ausiello: Help has arrived! My Lost mole reports that Lance Reddick (a.k.a. corporate recruiter Matthew Abaddon as well as Fringe's Phillip Broyles) was just spotted in Hawaii shooting what I assume is episode 5.6. Meanwhile, the show is casting the likely recurring role of Hal, a white dude in his 70s who can still fight the establishment and win. Team Darlton is also on the prowl for an actor to play Mike, a thirtysomething scientist who's on the brink of something big. An authentic Czech accent is required. (Of course, when isn't it?)

Season 5 Spoilers Update - Time Traveling Faraday

Hey All,
Our good friend DarkUFO has provided us with some new details about the on-island Losties confirming that Sawyer, Juliet, Charlotte and Miles are all fine. However, the key piece of information is about Daniel Faraday who supposedly "keeps saying crazy things" and that he is from the past!!

As many fans theorized it seems like Daniel might of been affected by the island disappearing causing him to travel back in time maybe even to the 70s where he made the new Dharma video with Pierre Change aka Dr. Marvin Candle. Looks like we will get a Desmond-esqu time travel episode with Faraday!!

Here is the post by Dark:

Sawyer and Juliet are fine. Faraday comes ashore, and he appears to be insane. He says he is from the past and not the future. Charlotte and Miles are fine as well. Charlotte does her best to keep Faraday calm but he keeps saying crazy things. These five are together until the attack.

LOST Season 5 Death Watch and My Thoughts

Hey Losties,
Unfortunately, it is that time of year again and I personally hate posting things like this, but it is inevitable with this show. Yup, that is right once again death will be a part of season 5 and we have the short list of who will die in the first 5 episodes of the season.

Well our good friend DarkUFO has posted a poll with 8 potential characters that could meet with death in the first 5 episodes of season 5 and I am not happy with this list at all. I think this is the first time I can say that I will be quite angry if ANY of these characters were to leave the show.

Of course, someone dying does not mean they will leave the show, but that does mean we will see less of them and honestly I want to see more of EACH of these characters.

Here is my take on each and note the odds I have placed next to each name:

Juliet (75 to 1)- Yes, I know since Juliet was introduced many fans have disliked her character, but she is a great actress and added a great new element of the show when she was introduced in Season 3. I have always expected her to die before the end of the show, but I can not see it happening before she meets Jack again and she is now one of the top two beachies along with Sawyer. BTW she is beautiful and the show needs that beauty on the beach.

Rose (3 to 1) - Is it possible that the lovably and VERY popular Rose will be the one to die this season?? I would hate to see this happen, because she is one of the original cast members that seemed to really grow on fans so much that we were able to get a backstory of her and everyone's favorite dentist Bernard. Unfortunately I really feel based on the list, Rose could be the character that will actually be the one to die. WHY!? Yes, she is hardly shown as is, but how does it move the story forward you ask?? Well maybe with the island "moving" is it possible that the "healing" qualities change as well?? Plus, I remember reading something about some conflicting schedules with L. Scott Caldwell's schedule.

Sawyer (100 to 1)
- Once again here is another character that I really like and actually do expect to die before the series ends, but now is NOT his time. There is no way the writers kill off Sawyer before meeting Kate again and I can not see how that would happen in the first 5 episodes. So fangirls can relax a little, but just imagine if they did kill him..!?

Miles (20 to 1) - Initially I was not really down with this character. However, as Season 4 continued, his character really grew on me and by the time the season ended I loved Miles and his humor. Also, I always felt that each of the freighties served some purpose and there was a reason why they were on the island in the first place. We already know Faraday's Constant is Desmond and will be a big part of Season 5. So with Miles' ability to hear the dead, I always felt his character would be the key to open the door to the Whispers and maybe solve the mystery of Jacob. Plus, he could maybe be able to explain how other characters see the dead on the island.

Charlotte (6 to 1) - Once again another member of the freighter that I feel has a purpose and well we learned part of that purpose in the Season 4 finale. Charlotte is looking for her birthplace. Is that a good enough story to keep he on the show, probably not, but lets not forget her discovery of the Polar Bear skeleton in Tunisia and well with ben landing in Tunisia after turning the frozen donkey wheel, I have a feeling that Charlotte will be around a little longer than 5 episodes. BTW, like Juliet she is beautiful!! Not to mention we still have to have that Daniel Charlotte reunion.

Penny (2 to 1) - Oh god there is NOOOO way right!? How can the LOST producers be soooo cruel to Desmond!? The guy was stuck on the island for years only to finally get back with his long lost love at the end of Season 4. It would seem almost impossible that the writers would want to kill her in the first 5 episodes of season 5!? Right!? Well unfortunately the recent MAJOR spoilers about Desmond and Penny having a baby and her being in MAJOR pain during the birth does not bode well for Des and Pen. Honestly one of my favorite couples on the show is Desmond and Penny and I would hate to see the writers break them up again. However, Ben did promise to Widmore that he would get his revenge.

Richard (25 to 1)
- No no no! The ageless Maybeline man is not going any where. How can this guy survive for 400 plus years and then die now!? How would this even fit the storyline. Him and Locke have to be a big part of the season. IDK, maybe he dies and Locke becomes the true leader of the Others and well Ghost Richard might help Locke in his mission. Heck, for all we know Richard might already be dead and we will see how he died. I guess that would explain how he is still alive after all these years.

Frank (15 to 1) - Boy, here is another actor I love in Jeff Fahey. Last year when the casting for all the Freighter Folk was announced, Fahey was the one I was MOST excited about. He is the lawnmower man and he has been awesome in the show so far. The writers have promised a big role for Lapidus this season so could they really accomplish that in the first 5 episodes!? Of all of the characters on the list, it seems like Lapidus has the smallest role to play in the over all storyline, but I always felt he would be the one to help the Oceanic 6 and Ben return to the island. After all he was the pilot that was able to fly to and from the island via that special bearing. So maybe they kill him so he can not fly back, but it would not make sense they would do that so early in the season.

So there you have it!! I can not see how any of these can really die, but if I had to pick it would be between Rose, Penny or Charlotte and I think I would have to vote for Penny purely based on the new spoilers.

Well please let us know what you think and make sure you check out DarkUFO to vote on the poll and join the fan discussion there.

Namaste.

Filming Updates - Jack's Car and Island Losties Spotted!!

Hey All,
With production for Season 5 of LOST in full swing we bring you a couple of more set reports and pics!!

The LOST crew was hard at work filming in two separate parts of the island today. The first set was in a parking garage where Jack's car (Ford Bronco) was spotted, while the other crew was setup on the beach doing some Jungle scenes with several of the island Losties, including Sawyer, Juliet, Rose, Bernard, Charlotte and Miles!!

Looks like the whole gang is there and OK! I was surprised to hear that the good dentist (Bernard) makes an appearance, but good to see he is back filming with ALL of the other cast members as well. Apparently they were filming a scene in the jungle and it was for the season premiere Because You Left.

Also it seems like Jack's car is in the same spot when he met Kate after her trial in Eggtown.

What do you all think!?

As always thanks to our friend Ryan for the update and here are the reports:

The “LOST” production crew was hard at work the day after Labor Day, spotted on opposite ends of the island. At least two units were filming today, one in Waikiki and the other on the North Shore.

This morning, I was directed into Waikiki, where workers were just setting up for a shoot at King Kalakaua Plaza. Under it, to be precise, in the parking garage for Niketown and Banana Republic.

And sitting in the corner, waiting for its cue, was Dr. Jack Shephard’s trusty steed, the old Ford Bronco.

But that’s not all. My wife Jen and I happened to have dinner last night with Dustin and Elvee, visiting “LOST” fans we first met at Comic Con in San Diego. And they just happened to be headed out to the North Shore today.

I encouraged them to stop by the beach set at Papailoa, a.k.a. Police Beach, as I’d heard there’d been some goings on lately. And sure enough, “LOST” was filming there today, too.

Says Dustin:

“Saw Sawyer, Rose, Bernard, Juliet, Miles and Charlotte. First scene we saw had Sawyer, Bernard, Rose, and Juliet. They appeared to be having a conversation in the jungle. Second scene had Charlotte and Miles, going back to camp. We watched for about 90 minutes. According to one of the crew, it was for Episode 5×01.”
