Hey All,
As always right before a season finale airs, the LOST writers, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, along with a several of actors make the rounds to do all the interviews in the world!!

Well we can not really post each and everyone, but our good friend DarkUFO has compiled a nice little list, so if you are free and already listened to this week's podcast that I just posted on the front page, then check out the list here:

Michael Emerson Reveals Season Finale Details to TV Guide

Michael Emerson Reveals Season 5 Finale Details to TV Guide

TVGuide.com: We have two hours left in the season. Is it going to take Locke, Ben and Richard 119 minutes to get to Jacob?
Michael Emerson: It's going to take a while. I mean, we've been making our way to Jacob for a long, long time. I think we can last a little bit longer.

TVGuide.com: Is it safe to say we will meet him in this finale?
Emerson: Jacob is certainly a character in the final two episodes. [An ABC spokesperson interjects to say, "We can neither confirm nor deny that Jacob will be in the season finale."] There seems to be a suggestion that we're moving in that direction, but what Jacob might be or how he might be revealed, if he ever is, is one of the juicy surprises of future Lost work.

TVGuide.com: Might Ben and Richard try to stage a coup to overthrow Locke?
Emerson: Ben and Richard have always seemed to me to have a somewhat fraught and edgy relationship. I don't think Ben is in a position right now to make aggressive alliances with anybody. Ben is doing well at this point to put one foot in front of the other.

TVGuide.com: But what about "My enemy's enemy is my friend"?
Emerson: Well, there's something to be said for that, and that is a philosophy that Ben has put to good use in the past. But Ben seems to be in as low a place as I have ever seen him. He seems to be shaken and no longer the general that he used to be. He is in fact no longer possibly the chess player that he used to be.

TVGuide.com: To add in yet another metaphor, are you saying he has run out of aces up his sleeve?
Emerson: That may be the case. But he isn't completely out of cards yet. No matter how whipped he is, he continues to be alert to the possibilities of every situation.

TVGuide.com: I was surprised — and I am curious if you were, too — to learn that Jacob can be killed. Or at least Locke believes he can.
Emerson: That was such an interesting statement for John Locke to make. Based on everything I ever knew about Jacob, it seems a sort of unlikely thing to say.

TVGuide.com: Right, this is Jacob we're talking about!
Emerson: Yeah — Jacob seems to be somebody that has gotten along fine for a long, long time, and seems to be impervious to the frailties of the flesh.

TVGuide.com: Ben is asked to make a sacrifice in the season finale. What can you tease about that?
Emerson: Ben has sacrificed his leadership and authority [to Locke], but he's also going to be asked to serve someone else's interests, not his own.

TVGuide.com: In your mind, if Jack were to detonate Jughead and thus keep 815 from crashing, what then? What moment immediately follows that instant? Do we cut to a plane full of mild-mannered people?

Emerson: I think it cannot be that simple, if that were a thing that happened. We're wrestling with these ideas of what can be changed with time travel and what cannot be changed. I don't thing a thing lived can be unlived. In one of the recent episodes, someone alluded to the idea that whether it's past, present or future, it is your life in the order it happens to you. I don't think anything done can be undone. This is an issue the writers and we the actors are wrestling with, and I don't have a good answer. Jack seems to be saying that he can erase the events of the last five seasons ... but I think that's unlikely.

TVGuide.com: Will you be back next season?
Emerson: Well, nothing that happens in the finale suggested to me that Ben's work was done. But like everyone else, he is vulnerable to accidents ... or injury. I'm hopeful that I will be among the actors who appear in Episode 601, but nothing is written in stone at Lost.

Well, nothing except some ancient hieroglyphics.

Michael Emersone Discusses Season 5 Finale

Here is an interview from EW with LOST star Michael emerson who plays Ben and talks about the two shocking season finale endings.

Enjoy!!

As a Lost fan yourself, how shocking did you find this season's finale? Is it more shocking or less that the season-three finale where we learned Jack and Kate got off the Island?

Ours is a show that specializes in big shock endings, but I think season five...None of the other shock endings left me wondering how the show goes on. We have two kinds of huge shocks at the end of this one. Each one alone would be enough to keep an audience eating its own soul for the whole hiatus, but with two, I don't know what you can do with that.

It's OK, just come to Comic-Con this summer and talk to us. Now, does Ben still have a plan?

I think Ben has a lot of layers of plans, but I think we're way off the main stem of anything that works for him. I mean, Ben's doing like moment-to-moment scrambling now.

Ben's role was always all-knowing evil overlord of the Island—and pardon me for using the word evil, I know that's debatable—but these days he seems very buffeted by circumstance. Will we see a different persona for him in season six?

Ben has tended to swing like a pendulum from positions of power to positions of questionable circumstance, but I think it's possible that we could have a wholesale change in how Ben ticks next season if the circumstances of the show are as altered [as they would seem to be]. If there's a wholesale set of new problems, Ben's role may shift at the same time. Actually, I'm curious to see. If Ben has a dramatic life in season six, I'll be curious to see what the nature of it is.

Ben tried and failed to kill Penny this season. Will he try again, or is he done with that effort?

I think he has bigger fish to fry. And I think he's still digesting what happened that day.

Getting his ass kicked?

Getting his ass kicked is all in a day's work—in fact, that's a strategy of his—but there's the business of how Penny escaped his wrath. What was the trigger? What was the thing that made that not happen? And what must he be thinking about it? We shall see.

Ben has tried and succeeded to kill Locke once this year. Would he try again, or does he believe Locke is untouchable, which Locke almost seems to believe about himself?

Yes, John Locke is certainly newly expansive and bold. He seems not to have any of his old vulnerabilities. I think Ben would think twice about attacking John Locke on a purely physical plane.

Latest Season 5 Spoilers from Kristin

Gisselle in Tampa, Fla.: When are Sawyer and Kate getting back together on Lost?

No time in season five, but check back for season six. You should like what you see... (P.S. Exec prod Eddy Kitsis says, perhaps jokingly, perhaps not, "Season six is free to be you and me. Do what you feel.")

Melva in Orlando: My favorite Lost characters have remained Jack, Charlie, Boone and Sayid since the first ep. I'm down by two. So, can you help a sister out: Are Jack and Sayid a sure bet to live through next season? I can't imagine a Lost series finale without either of them!

No promises about a series finale, but neither Jack nor Sayid are the major Lost death happening in season five.

Tony in Hoboken, N.J.: Hey, guys, any word yet on what the code name for the Lost finale's final scene will be?

Yes. It's not as boring as "The Bagel," but not as laugh-out-loud silly as "Frozen Donkey Wheel." This year's name was chosen from fan submissions, and the winning name is..."The Fork in the Outlet," according to ABC reps. The actual episode, though, is titled "The Incident." Sounds like the Losties are going to be messing with the electromagnetic power of the Island, to return to the future or to unleash the metal-shavings monster. (Remember what Michael Emerson told us about Smokey? "I think it all has something to do with metallic dust. I think the smoke monster is connected to that ring of powder that surrounds Jacob's cabin. They've established that there are supermagnetic forces at work on the Island, so what better medium for those forces to work through than through fine filings of metal.")

Season 5 Finale Twist Code Name Confirmed

Last season's big finale twist scene was code named the "Frozen Donkey Wheel" and well it actually ended up being the FDW after all!!

Well this year via TVGuide.com, the LOST writer's Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse held a naming "competition" to allow fans to name the big ummm shocking scene. Several random and funny names were sent in, but the winner is indeed "The Fork in the Outlet".

What it all means who knows!? Maybe nothing or maybe there will be a huge electromagnetic shock to the whole island and that is what "The Incident" is!?

What do you all think!?

Season 5 Finale Spoilers Clue Solved

Hey All,
A couple of days ago we posted a little clue for the Season 5 Finale Episode 5x16/17 The Incident from our good friend Ryan in Hawaii and today we posted a new casting announcement that former Dexter Actor Mark Pellegrino has joined the cast.

Well we can now confirm what it all means and who Pellegrino is playing.

I am putting the spoilers behind a button just to play it safe for those that do NOT want to know.

NOTE: If you repost this spoiler elsewhere PLEASE PROVIDE READERS WITH A WARNING.

Now like last season we have gotten word that there are some secret shoots taking place and that alternate scenes will be filmed to try and throw us off. However, I trust the source fully and this info was direct from the filming of this particular scene only.

Also, some sites have reported filming has wrapped, but that is not the case we have several sources confirming some potential work/filming still taking place for about another week.

Additionally Ryan mentioned to us that on their next Transmission podcast they will discuss and confirm what they know.

So there you go. Do you like this casting!? What does it all mean!?

Thanks for stopping by!

Episode 5x16/17 The Incident - Filming Report

Hey All,
Here is the latest filming report for the LOST Season 5 finale Episode 5x16/17 The Incident.

The key thing to note is at least in this scene that Ben is still alive at this moment.

Thanks to a fan named GamblingMan from the STV Forums for the report and do not forget you can access the forums by click the tab above that says "Forums"

They were filming on the beach. Set up were multiple tan tents. I believe the new guy that looks like Syied was sitting outside one of the tents with a metal basin, like one you would put water in. I believe these tents belonged to the crash survivors of the Ajira flight. (yes I know my spelling is probably way off). Sitting on the beach were Ben, Sun and Locke. Richard walks up to them and has something in his hand, maybe the compass he gave John, I don't know. They talk for a minute and then he walks away. What I found interesting is that John and Ben were with Sun and they were talking to Richard. We also went to camp erdman and there was a house, hut, cabin whatever you want to call it that was blown up. Not sure if that is from a previous episode or something coming up.

Episode 5x16/17 Season Finale - Title Confirmed

Hey All,
Thanks to our good friend DarkUFO who has been able to confirm the title for LOST Season 5 finale and it is quite spoilery.

Episode 5x16 and 5x17 will be titled The Incident Part 1 and Part 2!!

Wow that is great news, because we will finally see what this "incident" that happened on the island and has been referred to so many times on the show!!

Stay tuned for more info!

Episode 5x16/17 Season Finale - More Casting Calls

Here is the latest casting call for the LOST Season 5 Finale. I would say the most interesting tidbit is about "Captain Bird".

Could we finally be getting the scene with Black Rock!? Early in the production process for season 5 we had some spoilers about a local old-style ship being setup to look like a slave ship. However, apparently filming was delayed for those scenes.

I wonder if that is what we will finally be witnessing!?

[CAPTAIN BIRD] Any ethnicity, 40s-50s. Professional, military background, intelligent and able. Concerned about the safety of his ship's crew. NICE CO-STAR... THIS ROLE WILL BE IN EP. 515 AND ONE EPISODE OF THE FINALE - THIS ROLE WILL FLY OUT ON THE 10TH

[DOUG] Caucasian, 40s. Charismatic, soft southern accent. Strong and authoritative but knows how to deliver bad news smoothly. Deals bad news to his buddy with empathy. NICE CO-STAR.

[YOUNG JEFF] Caucasian. 8 to 10 years-old, blonde hair, soft southern accent if possible. Hazel/Light brown eyes. Gone through much in his young life. Anger hides a deep pain. He's a tough kid with a wounded heart. NICO-STAR.
