Latest Season 6 Spoilers via Paley Center Festival

Here is a breakdown of the Paley Center Panel with the LOST cast and crew.

Thanks to NoOne for the heads up and E! Online for the details.

NOTE: There are details of a sneak peek that was shown as well.

1. Jack's baby momma (mother of David Shephard in the flash-sideways world) IS somebody we've met before. Juliet? Kate? Sara? Hmm...

2. We probably will see Walt again. "[Malcolm David Kelley] absolutely would still be on the show," Carlton Cuse said, "but the actor aged." Damon Lindelof: "We are working on a way to bring Walt back before Lost is all said and done."

3. Damon: "Ilana and Richard will say things to each other and about each other in the future."

4. Terry O'Quinn is "playing a guy who we're not going to see until the finale." (Eeeee!)

5. Someone IS coming to the island.

6. Matthew Abbadon will not return.

7. We will get an answer to Libby and Hurley and their connection in the past.

8. Vincent will be back.

9. The finale is being written right now. Episode 15 was just shot this week in Hawaii.

10. Damon says there's no need for an island to have a Lost-themed ride at Disney World: "Just put people in a black room, spin them around and punch them in the face and tell them 'You just had the Lost experience.'"

11. Will we find out if there really was a bird on the island that said "Hurley" as it flew by? "That is on our list of things to explain."

12. When asked if we'll find out what happened to Annie, Ben's childhood sweetheart, Carlton says "We don't want to say. Probably not."

13. The gang's back together! While answering an unrelated Q, Terry O'Quinn mentioned: "A whole bunch of the cast is working together again."

14. There will be more for Charlie fans.

15. Alan Dale aka Charles Widmore will return.

16. Whether Jacob actually ever furnished a list of candidates to Ben or The Others is speculative...and might have been Ben lying to get the surgery from Jack.

17. A clip was shown for next week's episode in which Sayid says "apparently, I'm evil," Miles tells Sayid he was dead and says "Whatever brought you back it wasn't them (Temple people)," and Claire storms into the Temple telling Dogen that "He" wants to talk to him.

Check back later for exclusive interviews with the cast and producers of Lost, and Modern Family too.

In the meantime, what does this all mean for the very end? How does the whole cast come together again? Discuss!

Episode 6.11 - Happily Ever After - Filming Update - 14th Jan 2010

A update on yesterdays snippet, I had mentioned Faraday yesterday, and find out now they were using a Faraday photo double for some reason, sorry guys for not having that bit. Not really sure why the real Faraday wasn't there.

Thursday 1/14/10 is a hospital scene. Desmond, Charlie and Jack. Maybe Jack is the doctor after they have that car crash.

Episode 6x11 - Set Video and Filming Update

Here are some more details from Ryan about today's filming.

If you missed the set pics, there was a stunt scene being filmed with a car flipping into the marina. Stand-ins for both Charlie and Desmond were spotted on set and apparently the first run at the stunt did not work well as a cable pulling the car snapped, but the second take was successful and fans were able to catch the action via video.

Here is a set video from LOST Locations and update from Ryan:

It was only after the stunt, and after a lunch break, that the context of the scene became clear. Seated in the ill-fated car were Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) and Charlie (Dominic Monaghan), perhaps not long after Charlie’s release from the airport holding cell and their subsequent conversation in a bar. Desmond is driving. The pair are arguing. Suddenly, Charlie grabs the wheel from the passenger seat and yanks, and his impulsive act is what sends their vehicle into the ocean.

CARLTON CUSE

What about Maggie returning as Shannon?
We would love to have Maggie Grace back, but she's very busy—she's got a movie career. We would love to work it out and have her back on the show, and we've talked to her; we're just trying to get that worked out.

When in season six will Harold Perrineau and Cynthia Watros be appearing?
In the latter half of the season.

Do you have plans to bring Charlie back?
Yes, Dominic Monaghan is back for four episodes this season.

Malcolm David Kelley is the big question I have...
Well, Malcolm is very tricky because of the age thing, and it makes it very hard for him. We would love to have him back, but he has aged and looks older than his character. So that's the problem with him, so we're still trying to see if there's a way to work that out.

Will the clips from Comic-Con—the Mr. Cluck's commercial and the Kate crime feature—make sense once we've seen the premiere, or will we have to wait to fit them into the mythology?
I think they will start to make sense after the premiere, but it will take a number of episodes for them to fully make sense.

What about the Helen episode with Katey Sagal?
That comes up in the first third of the season.

Obviously, you can't answer every single question, but some things like the numbers—
No, obviously, if we said nothing about the smoke monster, if we said nothing about the numbers, we would be killed, but we believe that we recognize what the major questions are, and we will be providing some answers to those questions.

Where are you in terms of writing the episodes?
We are in the middle of writing episode 11, prepping episode 12 and we're writing episode 13.

How quickly does Claire come back?
I can't say.

What is the vibe of the final season?
I'd say it's a lot like the vibe of first season—the actors talk a lot about how they’ve reconnected with each other—there's almost a nostalgic quality. I think the first season of any show, the actors get together, they bond, and then there’s a drift over time. But because the show has an end, the actors have a chance to sort of rebond, much like they did in the first season when they screened the episodes every Wednesday at each other. There's a real sense that the connections between these characters is a huge part of the show: Why did these characters cross [paths with] each other?

DAMON LINDELOF
Are you worried the show will jump the shark?
I think that the show has jumped the shark at least a dozen times now, and fortunately for us, the storytellers, but unfortunately for a mainstream audience, yes, absolutely there was a time 23 million people were watching Lost, and that time has passed. Every time this show takes a risk, declares itself more overtly, there are going to be people saying, "I wasn't watching a show about time travel. I don't like that show. I don't want to watch that anymore." But we want to tell the story that we're committed to, and hopefully the audience will stick with us. We can't really comment past that.

How will this finale compare to other recent series finales?
I think that The Shield was a phenomenal series finale, and certainly Newhart is one of my favorites, but my all-time favorite series finale is M*A*S*H. I remember watching that with my folks; I remember everyone on our street was watching it. I remember Hawkeye basically saying, "It was a baby, it wasn't a chicken, it was a baby," and how emotional it was when the chopper finally lifted off and Klinger stayed behind; it stayed with me for my life. I feel like to end a show that people do care about and to give the characters incredibly fulfilling resolutions, M*A*S*H is the pinnacle of something we're trying to achieve. That being said, it wasn't a mystery show, so we've got to answer all our mysteries and give the audience a satisfying character conclusion, so I'd like to say for the record that our degree of difficulty is very high.

JOSH HOLLOWAY
What happens to Sawyer this season?
They've kept me in the dark since day one; I don't know, and I don't want to know. I'm spoiled now with not having to study much, just get it and go.

Episode 6x11 - Filming Update and Set Photos (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Ryan has updated his post with some new tidbits, pics, and even a little set video of the scene.

Here are a few pics of what appears to be a "high" Charlie in his Season 1 outfit with Desmond!? WTF is going on!?

Make sure to head to Hawaii Blog for more details!

Earlier today our friend DarkUFO reported that a scene involving Desmond and Charlie in some sort of "ALT Timeline" was being filmed today.

We also just got the heads up from our other good friend Ryan from Hawaii Blog about some more details and a set photo that was posted by a fan via his Twitter.

Report from Ryan:

The AG’s building has been transformed into the “Airport Courthouse.” And in front of the building, who should be meeting but Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) and Charlie (Dominic Monaghan). Photo posted by rossb on Twitter.

Episode 6x11 - Another Filming Update and Set Pics

The scene was being filmed on Queen Street between Punchbowl and Mililani (right behind the Supreme Court). Jack Bender was directing, and I saw Desmond and Charlie sitting around, but the scene I watched being filmed only involved Charlie coming out of a building and walking briskly across the street without looking. It was almost like he was in a hypnotic state (maybe he was high??). Anyway, the cars (all with California plates) were slamming on their brakes trying to avoid him. Pretty cool scene to watch being filmed. Those stunt drivers were going very fast and from my vantage point came really close to hitting him. I attached a pic to give you an idea of the scene. It's from my phone and during a break in the action so it's not the best. The tent on the right is where Charlie and Desmond were sitting. From my POV, Charlie was walking from right to left across the street.

Sixth Day of LOST-Mas via Kristin - Life and Death

As we've already posted a while ago, the answers to Kristin's "spoilers" are 1) Sayid and 2) Charlie

Here is here post though:

We already know John Locke (Terry O'Quinn) is dead—and we are über-pissed at Ben Linus (Michael Emerson) for doing the deed—but could another Lostie be joining Locke very soon in the mysterious island show's ever-growing body count?
When Lost returns Feb. 2 to ABC, there are more than a few stomach-churning surprises in store, and our latest dish (as part of the 12 Days of Lost-mas) involves the life-or-death fates of two Losties we love.

Word of warning: This is the final season. So anyone can be killed off.

Read on for the dish...

According to my spies, the following statements are both true:

1) One Lostie we've known for a long time (a dark, handsome and mysterious someone) will die within the first four hours in the first shocking death of the year.
2) Another Lostie we've known and loved since day one of season one will come this close to dying—at his own hands—but the good doctor (Matthew Fox's Jack Shephard) will save him.

Who will die? Who will nearly take his own life?

MAJOR SPOILERS: Set Report from Extra

NOTE: If you have not kept up to speed with spoiler then for some these tidbits could be considered MAJOR Spoilers

Hey mate,

Got a friend who was lucky enough to play an extra for some recent Lost filming. My friend for obvious reasons couldn't say anything direct, but I can pass some onto you and your site. My mate was on an inflight airplane set!. Buddy has never seen the show before, so tried to get as much as I could based on descriptions (and my guesses).

The plane resembles flight 815 and get this mate, on it were Jack, Kate (in cuffs) and with some guy (the marshall? unconfirmed), Sayid, flight attendant lady (Cindy? I think he means), and CHARLIE!!!! Could have been more but that's all my friend could describe. Everyone was in precrash clothing!. Can't say what happened except it looks like Charlie has accident (overdoses?) in the loo. Reset? Alt-Timeline who knows LOL!

Some Season 6 Snippets

Thanks to Heather for the heads up on this report from Seattle’s music and arts festival Bumbershoot.

As executive producer Carlton Cuse explained, sometimes not knowing the whole story is more interesting and more fulfilling than knowing, and he wisely offered Star Wars’ midi-chlorians as an example. What gives mysteries their power is, well, how mysterious they are, and taking that away can take away the fun. So not everything on Lost will be made clear, but Cuse (along with executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz) said that the creative team does have a road map of what they think must be explained. My question is, are the things I desperately need explained the things that the writers want to explain? I damn well hope so.

* Many faces from past seasons will appear in season six, including Charlie and possible Cindy (the flight attendant).
* While it normally takes the Lost writing team two weeks to plan an episode, “The Constant” took five. “Time travel is hard. It’s a lot of math!” —Kitsis.
* The boat sailed so well, its chase boat couldn’t keep up with it.
* Season six will have a fairly significant spiritual bent.
* The final shot of the show is already planned.
* While the producers have no personal plans for future incarnations of Lost, Cuse pointed out that it’s a powerful franchise and Disney would be foolish not to capitalize on that. So I think we can expect more Lost of some stripe in the future (or the past, because there’s often time travel involved.)
* Taking up that topic, Kitsis proclaimed that there really, really should be a Saturday morning cartoon show called Locke and the Monster in which Locke and the Smoke Monster teach kids lessons and build things. Coming this fall.

LOST Season 6 Casting Confirmations from Comic Con

Among all of the wonderful information from Comic Con, there were a few confirmed casting tidbits for Season 6 of LOST.

1) Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) - Nestor has been confirmed as a series regular. So expect to see more of Richard all throughout season 6. Additionally, Damon and Carlton said that we would get his backstory, not sure if it is a Flashback or not, but we will finally learn about Richard and his eyeliner!

2) Ian Sommerhalder (Boone) - Although he was at Comic Con to promote his new show The Vampire Diaries, Sommerhalder confirmed that he is planning to appear in Season 6 and that he has informed the producers of his new show. He did not say how for many episodes or reveal any other info, just that he will appear.

3) Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) - Dom of course made his not so surprise visit to the Flash Forward panel, but then made another no too surprising but very exciting appearance at the end of the LOST panel, with the words "Am I Alive" written on his hand!! No one confirmed a return but it is pretty obvious he is back in some form.

4) As far as all the other rumored cast members there was no confirmation, but the Season 6 Banner, revealed most of the original cast along side the current cast Maggie Grace's character Shannon.

Along with that art and Darlton confirming that we will indeed see characters that we have not seen since Season 1, I would say Maggie is one of those folks that will appear again.

Well that is all for now, but if any additional casting information is revealed we will let you all know!!

Episode 5x13 - More Details and Pics

Well it seems like several more fans happen to be on set today to capture the filming going on.

Here are some details from Chris@DarkUFO

And the 1st scene I'm not sure who was involved. I THOUGHT I saw Abbadon's head, but i could be wrong. and i could hear them over the fence, mentioning money. and being surprised and stuff. they also were later shooting a scene with a little Asian boy (assuming its a young miles.) running into a hotel room, and I believe seeing a "dead body" because thats what they had kinda said. i saw them putting a dummy in there. and when the boy went in the room he acted surprised, and then i heard them saying "Charlie up" "Eko's up" and "Locke's up" between takes.

After the boy would run inside, an Asian woman and an older looking gentlemen went in there after him. there was also an older looking Asian man on set acting as well. i m not sure doing what or who it was.
