New Alan Dale Interview - Widmore Heavily Involved in Storylines

Hey All,
Our good friend Rob from LotsofInterviews recently did an interview with LOST actor Alan dale aka Charles Widmore.

He was able to ask him a couple of LOST related questions. Nothing too revealing since we have seen Widmore in several set photos.

Here is the LOST info:

You have had had guest roles on Lost over the last few years, do you keep up with the show? Where you a fan before you were cast?

I am still working on "Lost" and just arrived back from Hawaii, where it is shot, two days ago. I leave again on FridayTracey and one of my older sons, Simon, are huge fans and have always encouraged me to be part of it.

Lost is going into its final season this year, is your character going to be featuring more prominently in this season?

My character "Charles Widmore" is still heavily involved in the story lines of "Lost", but more than that I cannot tell you.

Episode 6x08 Recon - Latest Filming Updates and Pics

Thanks to Annie for the heads up and to Ryan as usual for his excellent reports.

Spotted on the set were Josh Holloway (Sawyer) and Alan Dale (Charles Widmore), under the direction of Jack Bender. I stopped by on the way home from work today, they were filming one last shot down the submarine hatch with Holloway. Then, Holloway and Dale followed the crew as they disembarked the submarine as the sun began to set, moving over to the enclosed exhibit.

Filming Update - Charles Widmore to Return

Hey All,
Just got a tip from one of our inside sources that actor Alan Dale will be in Hawaii in a week or two to film some scenes for Season 6.

I know this is nothing too shocking as I am sure most of us expected to see him again.

However, it is still good to hear he will be filming scenes soon!

Thanks for stopping by.

Season 5 Casting Update - More John Terry and Alan Dale

Welllll Losties and spoiler lovers...we finally have some interesting tidbits of casting news for Season 5 of LOST, but nothing too shocking.

As expected word comes today LOST is in the process of bringing back John Terry (Christian Shepard) and Alan Dale (Widmore) for larger roles in Season 5.

Well here are the details from Ausiello who now teams up with Jeff Jensen at EW.

Question: I'm dying to have some juicy Lost tidbits. I'll take anything I can get. — Brittany

Ausiello: Damn straight you will! Team Darlton is doing their annual “radio silence” thing, so Lost scoop is at a premium these days. Luckily, I managed to unearth this little morsel: John Terry (Christian) and Alan Dale (Widmore) are in talks to return next season on a recurring basis. Big frakkin’ whoop, right?

Well, here’s where it gets interesting: In the fine print of both their contracts, it states that Lost has the right to pick up series regular options on both actors for the show’s sixth and final season. For insight into what this could possibly portend for Lost’s endgame, please join me in welcoming the man, the myth the legend, guru of all things Lost, Mr. Doc Jensen! “The prospect of expansive roles for Jack's maybe-dead dad and Penelope's dastardly deep-pocketed pop suggests a theory about the Island's true significance. Here is a seemingly-magical place where the lame can walk anew, the impotent can once more shoot bullets, and anyone can crank o! n ancient donkey wheels and leap through time. In other words, the Island provides the means for death-spooked mortals to cheat the grim reaper. I'm betting that's why Old Man Widmore is so desperate to find it. As for Ghost Dad, the Island allows him to stick around in his inexplicable spectral state and might even be facilitating a full-blown bodily resurrection; either scenario represents a violation of the natural order of things. In the end, Jack will no doubt have to convince his father — and possibly his maybe-dead half-sister Claire, too — that they need to move on. Regardless, keeping Terry around portends an emotional climax to Jack's father issue arc.” Really? You got all of that from my one little casting item? Cool.

Episode 4x09 Official ABC Vodcast - Behind the Scenes of London Filming

Here is this week's Vodcast, no real spoilers, but just a mention that next week's episode will focus on Jacob. However, this is still a great behind the scenes clip with Michael Emerson and Alan Dale.

NOTE: No Audio Podcast this week.

LOST in London - Filming Update

LOST Stars Michael Emerson (Ben), Yunjin Kim (Sun) and director Jack Bender have flown into London and according to our good friend DarkUFO, they will be filming some scenes this weekend.

Based on Bender directing previous season finales it seems like any scenes being filmed in London would most likely be for the Season 4 finale.

Why would they film in London, when practically everything else has been filmed in Hawaii!? What are they filming!?

Well here is some speculation and food for thought:

1) Alan Dale who plays Widmore is currently working in a London theater on Spamalot. This seems like the most likely scenario, where Dale was unable to fly to London and the LOST crew flew to him. Perhaps they are just filming some interior scenes so where they are filming is irrelevant.

2) Perhaps a very specific location for an outdoor scene was required. We did see Big Ben as part of the Find815.com billboard marketing, could this be the reason? Seems unlikely, because Sun and Ben filming a potential off-island scene on location in London would definitely require some explanation.

3) Could this scene be the reason Sun is not with Jin (whether he is alive or not) during Episode 4x07 Ji Yeon.

4) Perhaps there is some sort of scene about Sun's pregnancy and Ben is keeping a close eye on the situation.

5) There has been much speculation about the finale being an Oceanic 6 FF and the producers have confirmed that The Orchid will come into play. The Orchid is apparently connected to some form of time travel/teleportation, could Ben be showing Sun how the Orchid works.

Well here is Dark's post:

I've just received some info from one of my trusted sources.

It appears that Michael Emerson and Yunjin Kim have just flown into Heathrow for some London based filming along with Jack Bender. My source is speculating that this could be some scenes from the Finale although this part is purely speculation based on Jack Bender directing previous Finale's.

So whose episode could this be seeing that it is based in London, and what are they doing in London?

Are they confronting Widmore whose office is based in London?
