Nestor Carbonell Interview

Nestor Carbonell—who is again playing the mysterious, apparently ageless Richard Alpert in the fifth season of ABC's Lost—told SCI FI Wire that he understands if viewers are a little disoriented by the show's time-jumping storyline this year: So is he.

"I'm a little dizzy," Carbonell admitted in an exclusive interview on Wednesday. "Initially, it took me, in the first episode, [a moment to figure out] 'OK, when am I exactly? Where are we, and when am I?' But, no, it didn't take long. I think the viewers, after this episode [that aired Jan. 28], the show very much settles down, and you get the gist of the season, that you're going to be dealing with some elements of time travel."

Episode 5x13 - More Details and Pics

Well it seems like several more fans happen to be on set today to capture the filming going on.

Here are some details from Chris@DarkUFO

And the 1st scene I'm not sure who was involved. I THOUGHT I saw Abbadon's head, but i could be wrong. and i could hear them over the fence, mentioning money. and being surprised and stuff. they also were later shooting a scene with a little Asian boy (assuming its a young miles.) running into a hotel room, and I believe seeing a "dead body" because thats what they had kinda said. i saw them putting a dummy in there. and when the boy went in the room he acted surprised, and then i heard them saying "Charlie up" "Eko's up" and "Locke's up" between takes.

After the boy would run inside, an Asian woman and an older looking gentlemen went in there after him. there was also an older looking Asian man on set acting as well. i m not sure doing what or who it was.

Episode 5x13 - New Set Report and Photos

With filming for Episode 5x13 underway, our good friend Roxy was able to grab some interesting pictures today.

Apparently Miles was filming a scene off-island being kidnapped by two guys and one of the men seemed to have a Swan Logo on his jacket!?

NOTE: I am assuming this is for Episode 5x13 as filming for that episode began today, but it is possible this crew is still filming for a previous episode. Once we know more we will confirm

Here is her little report and some pics:

Today they were filming off of Lehua St near Chuck E Cheese in Pearl City. It was a shot of Miles being kidnapped by two men and thrown into a van. Pics are attached :)

Is that the Swan symbol on the "bad guys" jacket???? We weren't suppose to take pictures- so I didn't get any action shots, sorry!

Damon and Carlton Interview

Here is another Season 5 interview with Damon and Carlton.

After Oceanic Air flight 815 tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island, its survivors were forced to find inner strength they never knew they had, in order to survive. But, they discovered that the island holds many secrets, including a mysterious smoke monster, polar bears, housing and hatches with electricity and hot & cold running water, a group of island residents known as “The Others,” and a mysterious man named Jacob. The survivors have also found signs of those who came to the island before them, including a 19th century sailing ship, called The Black Rock, a downed Beechcraft plane from a failed drug run, the remains of an ancient statue, as well as bunkers belonging to the Dharma Initiative -- a group of scientific researchers who inhabited the island in the recent past. They also encountered a freighter, stationed off the island, that some thought would lead to their rescue, but ultimately almost caused their extinction.

With only about 30 original hours left, until the final episode of the ABC television sensation Lost airs in 2010, Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly), Hurley (Jorge Garcia), Sayid (Naveen Andrews), Sun (Yunjin Kim) and Claire’s son, Aaron -- otherwise known as the Oceanic 6 -- have been rescued and continue to try to pick up the pieces of the lives they knew before the crash, and perpetuate the lie concocted to hide the truth of what really happened. Now, Jack and Ben (Michael Emerson) must convince all of them to return to the island, in order to save those left behind. Adding to their worries is the fact that they also have to take the body of Jeremy Bentham, aka Locke (Terry O’Quinn), with them in order to make things right with the island. Butm locating the island may prove even more difficult since Ben moved it. It’s not just a question of where the island went, but when. Back in the world and on the island, the band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against all odds if they want to stay alive. But, as they have discovered during their journey, nothing is what it seems, and danger and mystery loom behind every corner, with even those they thought could be trusted turning against them.

Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse spoke to MediaBlvd Magazine about the advantages of making a show, for which you already know when the ending will come.

MediaBlvd Magazine> Should viewers assume that the finale of Season 3 was the first flash-forward, or is it possible that some things before that were in the future?

Carlton Cuse> It’s all relativistic. What you will really learn from the season is that, if you look at Lost in its totality, where various pieces of the jigsaw puzzle go in, they all go in relative to each other. So, that was the first one we saw on the show, but in a timeline sense, you may see other flash-forwards that would start earlier than that.

Damon Lindelof> That’s the first event that happened after the Oceanic Six were rescued. Nothing else you’ve seen happened after that.

TV Guide Chat with Damon and Carlton

Feel like you're sufficiently getting Lost? Here to help you each week is TVGuide.com's new "Getting Lost" video series. This latest installment finds executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof addressing three hot topics coming out of the Jan. 28 "Jughead" episode (spoiler-ish alert):

* In light of the shocking "introduction" made at the end of "Jughead," might the time-tripping castaways run into other (albeit younger) familiar faces?
* Exactly who is gun-toting tough-gal Ellie? Going against the popular consensus (which I find just a bit too pat/obvious), I run my own theory by Team Darlton.
* And speaking of mystery women, who is this comatose Theresa? And how big a role will she play in future episodes?

Filming Update

Thanks to Ryan for this report.

Visiting “LOST” fan Mike Sorensen stumbled across the “LOST” crew yesterday, setting up a scene on the beach near Camp Erdman, a.k.a. Othersville. There was a makeshift hut, and luggage and debris scattered everywhere. Though eerily familiar, it doesn’t look like this is supposed to be the disappearing beach camp, but a different, more primitive settlement. Yet, it seems to be one built by the survivors of a plane crash. Is this a different view of the aftermath of Oceanic Flight 815? Or something else entirely?

Latest Filming Update and Set Photos

Hey All,
We just received one of our first of hopefully many set reports from our new set reporter Roxy. She was able to get some nice details and pics for us to enjoy today.

Apparently a couple of new actors were on set along with cast regulars Michael Emerson, Yunjin Kim, Terry O' Quinn and Frank Lapidus.

Here is the full report...Enjoy!

NOTE: If you repost this or any images, please credit back to the proper source. The images are not tagged and are provided to all of as a courtesy from our source. If they notice the images being posted with out proper credit, then they might not provide images to us in the future to share.

Okay so here's the scoop. The day started with filming on the beach at like 12:30 pm.

Scene: A pair of canoes and luggage strewn around the beach.

People: There were two actors in the scene, a man with long salt and pepper hair, dressed in what appears to be a pilots uniform (assumed due to the shoulder boards and the wing pen on his chest). The pilot is banged up and has blood stains on his sleeve. He is approached by a man in a burgundy shirt and they conversate.
Could the pilot be Frank Lapidus? He doesn't have facial hair though so hmmmmmm.... However, I noticed the crew trailers only had a few names on them, as they were set up for whomever was due to arrive during filming. Sun, Locke, Lapidus, Ben and two other names that I didn't recognize.

I then went to the other side of the beach to catch the scene from a different angle. However, they had changed scenes. In this one, there is a bonfire but that's all I know. I was not able to view it because they us move as to not be seen in the background.

At around 9 pm, we went back to Camp Erdman and before filming took place, Terry O'Quinn walked around to the gazebo and walked back towards "Ben's" cabin. He was wearing a nice set of slacks and a button up shirt. MUCH nicer than what he would be wearing on the island. It was only a brief moment and it was extremely dark out there so the picture is blurry.

We were not able to get close to the action, but we found a little hole in which we could occasionally see Michael Emerson. We could not tell of anything else going on nor hear anything. We left at 11:30 pm- very frustrated and very wet from the rain!

So there you have it. OH but we did get a little inside scoop: A source from the set mentioned that previously they were in Honolulu filming a scene that was suppose to take place in New York. The actors were all wearing cold weather clothing and were burning up in the Hawaiian weather. The source also dished on who was the nicest actor and who was NOT! I didn't get any additional information out of them other than they've been working long hours lately. darn.

So, until next time...
